Award Buddies: How to Help Share Impact Rewards - Blue Planet
Very many folks in rural locations, eg in Africa, can't go very far beyond Facebook due to high costs. But buddies can help them claim rewards for their conservationist work in their local communities
Green & Clean Award Buddies in FB Working Groups - Simple Crypto & the Discord Platform
Do you want to help folk in Africa be rewarded for conservation work they are already doing in their local community? To help our planet stay greener, cleaner and to reuse and recycle waste products? There are plenty of Africans doing this, just a bit cut off inside Facebook. Let’s get in touch and help them reach out further.
First Steps
Most of us understand FB pretty well. If you do need support on FB, ask Peter Jones separately in the FB group Collaborative Leaders, with a new post in the main forum, so everyone can learn from your questions and community answers.
It now helps if you understand crypto tokens, and the Discord Server technology. If needed, first check this video for a basic understanding of crypto tokens.
Earning Crypto
Please note, no one is buying crypto tokens here. Rather folk are earning them, as we would for local tokens like air miles. This is a very different scenario and usage than the hype and FUD tactics used so often in MSM, aka Pump & Dump.
FUD - Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt: What are you missing?
MSM - Main Stream Media
Pump & Dump - Buy fast, sell fast
Crypto Communication Channels
Now check this video to understand Discord Servers, which some would say are the next generation Facebook, although there are now a good many contenders.
Meeting Evergreen Coin on Home Turf
It will help now if you join the EGC Discord Server, but you don’t really have to. It will help, though, if you have any questions about how this all works. https://discord.gg/AaaFqwydB5
The above are some basic first steps, and you are now ready to start understanding how EGC works, and your small - or larger if you want - part to play in this important mission.
Join the Team - Send Conservation Submissions to EGC
EGC Website - First thing is to understand how EGC work, and the best thing there is to check out the EGC website. This is very thorough in presenting details needed to navigate and understand. https://evergreencoin.org/
Conservation Submissions - Next, understand the Proof of Environment page, which shows what submissions are needed, and how EGC will process them. https://evergreencoin.org/poe-submit/
Supporting Conservation Partners - Now we come to your Team Leader role. You will need to partner with impact owners on the ground and in FB, so that you can submit FB evidence posts to EGC on their behalf. Looking at this overall, once you have established FB partnerships, it's a maximum six step process.
Awards Account AirTable - First check whether a prospective awardee has an account to send awards to. This can be done by checking the Airtable database for the awardee name, and copying the 30 character “Solar” account address found there. This is important, as incorrect addresses will mean awards cannot be sent to the people who deserve them.
AirTable URL: https://airtable.com/appRPuIRRgY7y169e/tblVp70OqTeARCfLU/viwMw0R8yBLNINOXm?blocks=bipJptfywNwR5SJ0y - Project Sponsor TabAward Account Creation - If no award account exists yet, you can create an EGC Solar account, which is a one off way to set up a new account. Make very sure any new account key is then added to the Airtable database, so other folks can also send awards if they wish to do so in future. Try to avoid creating duplicate accounts, which can be difficult given Africans will sometimes use second names or surnames to identify themselves.
Account Creation URL:
https://webwallet.evergreencoin.org/index.phpFB Permalinks - Now collect the FB permalink details from your impact partners as they post them from the original submission post - OSP - in FB. Click on the OSP timestamp, which will give a unique transaction URL in the browser address bar that can later be copied and pasted.
EGC Website Submission - Now take the relevant details to the EGC website, as mentioned in point 2 above. Key fields are name of submitter, location of submitter, the Airtable award account address, and the FB OSP permalink.
EGC Monthly Awards - When EGC make awards, typically monthly, these will show in the list of award accounts and people you are managing, by looking at the EGC wallet pages. New account balances need to be reflected in the Airtable. The AirTable design will be constructed with dashboards to help show rewards made, and to whom, helping to calculate relevant totals, which should match the EGC wallet accounts. (The Airtable accounts are needed to identify which awardee will eventually get the award. EGC accounts are like all online accounts, they deliberately don’t have account holder details, usually only an account holder themselves knows these details.)
AirTable Award Entry:
https://airtable.com/appRPuIRRgY7y169e/tblVp70OqTeARCfLU/viwMw0R8yBLNINOXm?blocks=bipJptfywNwR5SJ0y - Impact Submission TabAward Totals Notification - Leaders then need to post Airtable screenshots in the dedicated FB group Collaborative Leaders EGC, so impact posters know they have rewards. It may be some submissions fail, and you can enquire and explain as to why.
Finally, when an impact partner account has sufficient funds, you need to help them cash the amount from their holding account and supply them with the dollar equivalent using eg World Remit or preferred payment mechanism. These steps will follow in a subsequent guide about EGC exchange.
To start with, you may want to submit evidence for one person only, and help more folks later as you gain in confidence.
That’s it for evidence submission and awards, and you might want to take a break in learning at this point.
But no less important is the other half of the support you offer. Getting rewards back tangibly to impactors. Learning how to do that will come in the next post.
